Abstract

In line with the social atmosphere in which gender barriers in the public office sector are collapsing, the police are gradually increasing the proportion of female police officers in order to secure gender representation in the organization. However, there are views that female police officers are insufficiently capable of responding to physical forces in a crisis response situation, and this is creating negative public opinion about the government's policy to increase the number of female police officers. Therefore, this study attempted to find ways to improve by grasping the current status of female police officers selection and education, and through actual condition analysis, improvements were derived in various fields such as recruitment and education and training. Through this study, as a way to improve and respond to the crisis response power of the female police, the expansion of the recruitment of new female military personnel and female martial arts majors, the reinforcement of the link between martial arts training and bargaining power education, the introduction of practical martial arts education focused on strong strikes, the equalization of male and female physical fitness test standards, the addition of evaluation items to verify the qualities of police officers, and the specialization of interviewers were presented.
