효율적인 다문화 자녀 말하기/듣기 교육을 위한함축 의미 추론 원리에 대하여

이글에서는 화자와 청자 간의 원활한 의사소통에 있어 화자의 숨은 의도를 추론하는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다는 전제 하에 그 숨은 의도인 함축 의미를 추론할 수 있는 구체적인 방법에 대해 논의하였다. 그리고 이러한 논의가 한국의 언어 문화적인 특성에 대한 이해가 부족한 외국인 그리고 다문화 가정 자녀들을 대상으로 한 한국어 말하기, 듣기 교육에 도움이 될 수 있다고 보았다. 이글에서의 논의를 정리하면, 먼저 함축 의미를추론하기 위해 그라이스(1975)의 협력 원칙 및 네 가지 대화 격률에 대해 살펴보았다. 그리고 이를 바탕으로 ‘함축 의미 추론 원리’를 제시하였다. 그리고 ‘함축 의미 추론 원리’가 타당함을 구체적인 예를 통해 확인하였다. 다음으로제시한 ‘함축 의미 추론 원리’를 네 개의 대화 격률(‘질의 격률’, ‘관련성의 격률’, ‘양의 격률’, ‘태도의 격률’)을 위반한 각각의 예에 적용하여 화자의 발화 의도인 함축 의미를 추론하는 과정에 대해 논의하였다. 논의 과정을 통해 화자의 발화 의도를 파악하기 위해서는 합리적으로 함축 의미를 추론하는 것이 중요하다는 사실을 다시 한 번 확인할 수 있었다.
Abstract
In this paper, I discussed the concrete method of inferring the meaning of the implicit intention, on the premise that it is more important to infer the speaker’s hidden intention in the smooth communication between the speaker and the listener. And these discussions could be helpful for Korean speaking and listening education for foreign and multi-cultural children who do not understand Korean language and cultural characteristics. To summarize the discussion in this article, we first looked at the cooperation principles of Grice (1975) and the four conversation rules to infer connotations. Based on this, ‘implication semantics principle’ is presented. And I confirmed the validity of the principle of implicit semantic inferrence through specific examples. The implication principle of the implication semantics is applied to each case of violation of four conversation rules (‘query rule’, ‘relevance rule’, ‘positive rule’, ‘attitude rule’), The process of inferring the implication implications was discussed. It was once again confirmed that it is important to infer connotations meaningfully in order to grasp the speaker’s intention to speak through this argument process.
