‌팀 기반 스피치 수업의 교육적 효과 분석 ― 창의성 함양을 위한 교육 사례를 중심으로

초록

이 연구의 목적은 학습자의 창의성(creativity) 신장에 기여하는 것으로 알려진 ‘팀 기반 학습(team-based learning)’을 통합적으로 검토하여 스피치(speech) 수업에 적용 가능한 모형을 구안하고, 이를 실제 수업에 적용한 사례 분석을 통해 교육적 효과 및 문제점, 함의를 도출하는 것이다. 창의성 특성요인 및 팀 기반 학습에 관해서는 국내외 많은 연구가 있으나 창의력과 팀 기반 학습 간의 관계를 스피치 수업 환경과 관련하여 다룬 연구는 찾아보기 힘들다. 이에 본 연구는 스피치, 의사소통 능력과 유관성이 확인된 대표적 변인 중 하나인 의사소통 불안(communicative apprehension)을 스피치 교육 전에 측정하여 이를 기초로 팀을 구성하였다. 아울러 개인의 팀 활동 능력을 측정하였다. 또한, 의사소통 능력 증진, 창의력 함양에 기여할 수 있는 내용으로 구성된 팀 활동 교육을 8주간 시행하고 팀 활동 교육이 종료되는 시점에 학습 전 실시한 제반 변인을 측정, 그 변화를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 대학생의 팀 활동 능력은 팀 기반 학습 전후 유의한 증가를 보였다. 또한, 의사소통 불안은 팀 기반 학습 전후의 팀 활동 능력과 각각 높은 부적 상관관계를 보였고 창의성 성향은 사전, 사후 팀 활동 능력과 정적 상관관계를 보였다. 한편 팀 활동 능력은 남학생이 유의하게 높으며 창의성 성향은 남녀 간 유의한 차이가 없다. 또한, 4학년이 의사소통 불안, 팀 활동 능력, 그리고 팀 활동 능력 중 리더십 항목에서 유의하게 높다. 또한, 의사소통 불안, 팀 활동 능력, 창의성 성향 간의 상관관계가 확인되었다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore ‘team-based learning (hereafter, TBL)’ and to design an applicable model to ‘speech’ class and its education, and finally to analyze the pedagogical effects and their implications. According to the examination of both domestic and overseas researches concerning the creativity as well as TBL, few studies have focused on these relationships in terms of the speech education. This study was conducted with 140 engineering students and 127 humanities college students at P University. Each team was composed of 5 team members, especially based on the communicative apprehension score and gender, grade respectively. Findings showed that firstly, there were significant gender and grade differences in team activities competence of college students. However, no difference regarding the creativity personality. Second, there were significant gender and grade differences in communicative apprehension. Third, we found a high correlation among team activities competence, communicative apprehension and creativity personality. Based these findings, it will continue to refine the instructive modules of speech and to verify their validities.
