In this study, we examined the degree of nominalization by analyzing how ‘nai’, which represents negation, functions in syntax when it is nominalized by the suffix -sa. As a result, it was confirmed that ‘nasa’, ‘negative adjective + sa’ and ‘negative verb + sa’ are all in common that, syntactically, they can co-occur with case particles to become components of a sentence, and thus function as nouns. However, it can be said that the degree of nominalization differs depending on the type of modifier and the appearance pattern of modifiers that precede them.
