Abstract
This paper focuses on 13 natural nouns and 6 architectural nouns derived from the Goguryeo place names of the Goguryeo Dynasty recorded in the Samguksagi(三國史記)(Volume 35 and Volume 37). From the perspective of comparative linguistics, it describes and analyzes the common features of the ancient sound on the phonetic Chinese characters and Manchu Tungusic languages and their dialects in the phonetic and semantic level, aiming to clarify the specific semantics of the Goguryeo language vocabulary, so as to see the linguistic correlation between Goguryeo language and Manchu Tungusic languages. The research shows that the relevant vocabulary of Tungusic branch language and Goguryeo language in these two kinds of nouns is higher than Manchu branch language, both above 60%. Among them, the highest proportion is Ewenki, and the relevant vocabulary accounts for 73.7% of the total. Both Oroqen and Hezhen are 63.2%. The number of relevant vocabularies of Manchu is slightly less than that of Tungusic. Manchu and Sibe account for 57.9%. The situation of Jurchen language is relatively special, only 11 words of 19 words exist in the form of Jurchen language, including 7 words that are related to Goguryeo language, accounting for 36.8%. This shows that there may be a deep linguistic relationship between Goguryeo language and Manchu Tungusic languages, especially Ewenki, Orqen and Hezhen.
