1950년대에 발생한 독일의 구체시는 시단의 이단아라 불릴 정도로 전통적인 시작 형태와는 다른 성격을 지녔지만, 나름대로 독창적인 의미를 지니며 20~30년 간 국제적 영향력을 발휘한 시 경향이었다. 여기서 ‘구체적’이라 함은 ‘사실 real’을 의미하는데, 실제적인 것, 현실성 자체를 말하며, 언어의 의미적이고 상징적인 면보다도 언어 자체를 하나의 질료(質料)로 보고 언어를 이용하여 구체적인 효과를 내려고 한다. 따라서 구체시는 언어의 의미 지배를 비판적으로 보고 시각적, 청각적 효과를 추구한다. 본 논문에서는 구체시의 이러한 특징들을 알아보고, 또 이것의 교수법적 활용을 시도한다. 단순하면서도 축약된 구체시는 독일 지역사정 수업에 활용되기 적합한 것으로, 여기서는 구체시의 대표 작가 에른스트 얀들의 시를 중심으로 고찰하고 있다.
Abstract
German concrete poetry, which emerged in the 1950s, has a character different from the traditional forms of poetry and was initially criticized or even rejected that it was often referred to as heresy among poetry circles, but nevertheless became a poetry trend yielded international influence for about 20 to 30 years. Here, 'concrete' means 'real', which refers to the real thing or the reality itself, seeing the language itself as the substance rather than the semantic and symbolic aspects of the language, and it tries to establish concrete effects using languages. Therefore, concrete poetry critically views the semantic dominance of languages and pursues its visual and auditory effects. In this paper, these characteristics of concrete poetry were investigated and investigated the effectiveness of using it as a teaching method. Since concrete poetry, simple yet abbreviated, is suitable to use for the classes related to German regional affairs, this study tried focusing on the poetry of Ernst Jandl, who was the representative writer of concrete poetry.
