본 연구는 2015 개정 교육과정이 고시됨에 따라 초등 통합교과 교과서의 개발이 막 시작될 무렵에 진행된 것으로 차기 초등 통합교과 교과서의 개발 방향을 모색해본 것이며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 새 초등 통합교과 교과서는 첫째, 주제중심 통합수업이 일상적으로 이루어지는 초등학교 수업문화를 지향하는 방향으로 개발되어야 할 것이고, 둘째, 초등학교 1,2학년 학생의 발달, 관심, 흥미에 적합한 배움 중심의 탈학문적 접근의 통합수업을 지향하는 방향으로 개발되어야 할 것이며, 셋째, 교사와 학생이 함께 참여하여 만들어가는 민주적 절차로 이루어지는 수업을 지향하며, 또한 넷째, 국가교육과정의 요구와 학생의 요구를 잘 연계하는 수업을 설계 및 실행할 수 있는 교사의 전문성 확대를 지향하는 방향으로 개발되어야 할 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to search for desirable directions for developing the national textbooks for the Korean elementary integrated subjects based on 2015 revised Korean national curriculum. According to results of this study, the elementary integrated subjects textbooks should be developed in the following directions while making utmost use of the original characteristics of the elementary integrated subjects. First, they should be royal to school cultures that theme-based curriculum integration which is ongoing daily and routinely. And second, they should be allow the first and second graders to do individual level-based learning based on trans-disciplinary integration which is appropriate for students' developments and interests. Third, they should be enable to do teaching and learning based on the democratic processes that is made in collaboration with teachers and students. And the last, they also should be developed in a way that can allow teachers to make lessons which are well linked to the needs of students and the demands of the National curriculum.
