한국주도 ASEM 협력사업 관련 기사에 대한 텍스트 마이닝 기반 분석

Text mining-based analysis of articles on ASEM cooperation projects led by Korea

초록

1963년 한국과 유럽연합은 외교 관계를 수립하였고 올해로 수교 60주년을 맞았다. 그동안 양측은 수교 이래로 밀접한 외교 관계를 맺어오며여러 방면에서 포괄적인 협력을 지속해왔다. 유럽연합에 있어서 한국은전략적 동반자국가이며 유럽연합은 아시아 지역 협력에 영감을 주는 현존하는 세계 최대의 지역 협력체이다. 또 유럽연합과 한국은 아시아 유럽정상회의인 ASEM(Asia－Europe Meeting)의 회원국으로서 양 대륙의주축 역할을 하고 있다. 하지만 회원국 간 합의 내용이 규범적 차원 수준에서 논의되는 경우가 일반적이기 때문에 ASEM은 점차 각 회원국 참여율이 저조하다. 하지만 한국이 주도하고 있는 4개의 ASEM 협력사업은다르다. 뚜렷한 목표와 장기적인 비젼을 가지고 있어 지난 20년 동안ASEM회원 국가들 중 가장 뛰어난 거버넌스 성과를 내고 있다. 본 논문에서는 일반 국민이 가장 쉽게 정보를 얻을 수 있는 국내 검색엔진인 ‘네이버’와 ‘다음’에 제공되는 한국주도 ASEM 협력사업에 관한기사의 정보 패턴을 빅데이터로 분석하여 언어적 의미와 상징을 파악하고자 한다. 주요 언론에 나타난 내용을 통해 일반인들이 얻을 수 있는 정보의 패턴과 동향은 무엇인지 파악하고자 한다.

Abstract

Korea and the European Union established diplomatic relations in 1963, and this year marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations. Since establishing diplomatic ties, the two sides have maintained close diplomatic relations and continued comprehensive cooperation in various fields. For the EU, Korea is a strategic partner, and the EU is the world's largest existing regional organization that inspires regional cooperation in Asia. In addition, the EU and Korea are members of the ASEM (Asia-Europe Meeting), an Asia-Europe summit meeting, playing a pivotal role between the two continents. Nevertheless, as agreements between member countries are generally discussed at the normative level, the members have become increasingly less participatory. However, the four ASEM cooperation projects led by Korea are different. With clear goals and long-term visions, they have produced some of the best governance outcomes among ASEM members over the past two decades. In this paper, we analyzed the information patterns of articles about Korea-led ASEM cooperation projects provided by 'Naver' and 'Daum.' They are dominant web platforms where the general public can obtain information, and researchers can collect big data to analyze linguistic meanings and symbols. This study aims to identify the patterns and trends of information that the general public can obtain from major media.
