On Jan. 12 the Framework Act on Cooperatives became known to the public. Chapter 4 of the Act provides Social Cooperatives and legal bases for social cohesion and integration. This gives us the motivation to explain the effects of socio-economic integration on social cooperatives. In this context, we deal first with the theory of Property Rights as a theoreti-cal basis for this studies. Based on this, we examine the social integration effects of social cooperatives in the areas of promotion of self-help, creation of jobs, increase of welfare and the growth of the middle classes. Then we represent the conditions for the effects, followed by presenting conditions for enhancing this effect.
