국어 문법 단위와 접어 설정에 관해서

문법 단위(grammatical unit)는 의미를 전달하는 언어 단위로 형태소, 단어, 구, 절, 문장으로 구분된다. 언어 표현을 문법 단위에 따라 구분하고자 할 때, 형태소와 단어의 경계에 위치해 그 구분이 어려운 언어 표현이 있다. 이들은 다른 말에 의존적인 성격을 지닌다는 점에서 단어에 포함시키기 어렵지만, 접사나 어미와는 다른 문법적 특성을 보인다는 점에서형태소라는 문법 단위로 한정시키기도 어렵다. Chae(1995), 시정곤(2005), 김양진(2008)에서는 이 같은 언어 표현을 ‘접어(clitics)’로 분석할 것을 제안하였다. 본고에서는 접어라는 술어를 설정할 수 있는 근거와 기준을 논의하였고, 단위성 의존명사와 단형부정문을 형성하는 부정소 ‘안’과 ‘못’이 접어에 속한다는 점을 제안하였다
Abstract
The “grammatical unit”, as the term to indicate certain unit to deliver ‘meaning’ within the linguistic units, can be classified as morphemes, words, phrases, clauses, and sentences. In order to classify a linguistic expression based on the grammatical unit, it is difficult to classify certain expression because it exists between the grammatical unit of “morpheme” and the grammatical unit of “word”. As this expression is dependent to another word, it is difficult to classify it as the grammatical unit of “word”. However, it is difficult to categorize this expression as a derivational or inflection affix considering it’s grammatical characteristics. Chae(1995), Si(2005), Kim(2008) proposed that this expression in Korean may be analyzed as “clitics”. This paper intends to display a standard or a basis to establish the notion “clitics” in Korean. In addition, this paper proposes that classifiers in Korean and negative element ‘an’ and ‘mot’ can be included in ‘clitics’.
