초록
In this paper, I reviewed Yoo et al.(2015) from morphological perspectives. I emphasized that the definitions of linguistic units can be defined variously because the purpose and object of research are various. There are many problems about linguistic units. I have accounted for these problems as follows. First, the notion of ‘morpheme’ can be defined ‘minimal meaningful unit’ but it can be defined variously because of purpose, subject, and methodology of studies. Second, the notion of ‘word’ also can be defined variously. Yoo et al.(2015) suggested that the notion of ‘word’ must be discarded, however, the notion of ‘word’ is still valid because it is the good tool to explain grammatical phenomena. Third, the notion of ‘eojeol’(similar to phonological word) is useful notion to explain language changes(e.g. grammaticalization). Fourth, the notion of ‘phrase’ and ‘clause’ can be understood syntactic notion but they also can be understood morphological notion because many speakers can make multi-word construction.
