본 연구는 청소년 비자살적 자해(NSSI) 문제에 효과적으로 대응하기 위해 개발된 모의훈련 프로그램이 상담자의 자해개입 전문성과 비자살적 자해 상담역량에 미치는 영향을 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 상담수련생 34명을 실험집단과 비교집단으로 무작위 배정하여 실험을 실시하였다. 실험집단에는 비자살적 자해 상담 동영상교육과 모의훈련을 제공하였고, 비교집단에는 동영상교육만 제공하였다. 자료분석에는 집단 간 동질성 검증을 위한 독립표본 t-검정과 각 집단 내 및 집단 간 점수 변화 분석을 위한 반복측정 분산분석이 사용되었다. 분석 결과, 모의훈련을 받은 실험집단은 사전검사 대비 사후 및 추후검사에서 상담역량의 유의한 향상을 보였으며, 이러한 효과는 장기적으로 유지됨을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 모의훈련 프로그램이 상담자의 자해개입 전문성과 비자살적 자해 상담역량을 동시에 강화하고, 전통적인 강의 중심 교육의 한계를 보완하는 실습 중심 학습의 중요성을 실증적으로 입증하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 나아가, 디지털 기반 훈련의 가능성을 제시하며, AI 및 가상 시뮬레이션 훈련의 활용에 관한 후속 연구를 위한 기초자료를 제공하였다.
Abstract
This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of a simulation training program, developed to effectively respond to adolescents’ Non-Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI), in enhancing counselors’ self-injury intervention expertise and NSSI counseling competencies. A total of 34 counseling trainees were randomly assigned to either an experimental group, which received both NSSI counseling video education and simulation training, or a comparison group, which received only the video education. Independent samples t-tests were conducted to verify group homogeneity, and repeated-measures ANOVA was employed to analyze within- and between-group changes over time. The results indicated that the experimental group, which received the simulation training, showed significant improvement in counseling competencies from pre-test to post-test, with these improvements sustained at the follow-up assessment. This study highlights that the simulation training program simultaneously enhanced counselors’ self-injury intervention expertise and NSSI counseling competencies, empirically demonstrating the importance of practice-based learning as a supplement to traditional lecture-based education. Furthermore, the study suggests the potential of digital-based training and provides foundational data for future research on the application of AI and virtual simulation training in counselor education.
