Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the longitudinal relationships between commitment type HRM, work team autonomy, and innovation performance in the work place. And this study tried to analyze how the slope of one variable affects the slope of other variable over time. It is based on the assumption that commitment type HRM enhance a work team autonomy and innovation performance in the workplace. The data were extracted from the Korea Labor Institute's Workplace Panel Survey(WPS) from 2005 to 2013, and the study used 960 companies that are common respondents of the five wave surveys. Latent growth modeling employed to test the research model. The results of the longitudinal analysis are summarized as follows. First, the slope of commitment type HRM had a positively significant effect on the slope of work team autonomy. Second, it was confirmed that the slope of work team autonomy positively influenced slope of innovation performance in the work place. Finally, it was confirmed that the slope of work team autonomy has a mediating effect between the slopes of commitment type HRM and innovation performance.
