Abstract
The main purpose of this paper is to show two kinds of fundamental facticity of Dasein:Firstly, all possible meanings of being are based on the ek-static unity of being of Dasein. Secondly, all possible meanings of being necessarily presuppose Dasein’s being as a flesh/body, which means that senses are more fundamental than being because all possible meanings of being, including being as a self, being of the world and even being itself, are only derivative modes of senses. Strictly speaking, we can also say that senses are more fundamental than da-sein because da-sein itself is to be regarded as a mode of being. To say that senses are more fundamental than being does not mean that ontology should be based on a special kind of empiricism. While empiricism tacitly presupposes two kinds of being of independent beings, namely our being as a body and being of external beings,as a necessary condition for sensual experiences, ontology is free from such a presupposition: From the ontological viewpoint, all meanings of being should be regarded as absolutely creative and spontaneous since senses are, from the existential standpoint of Dasein, an absolute starting point of understanding from which all meanings of being, including being as a self, being of the world and even being itself, are to be understood.
