유아교사의 자기결정성 동기와 사회적 문제해결능력의 관계 연구

본 연구는 유아교사의 배경변인에 따른 자기결정성 동기와 사회적 문제해결능력의 차이, 자기결정성 동기와 사회적 문제해결능력과의 관계를 분석해 보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 A, B지역의 유아교사 146명이었다. 수집된 자료는 t-검증, one-way ANOVA, Pearson의 상관분석, 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 자기결정성 동기는 근무기관 유형, 학력, 경력, 전체적으로 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 학력에 있어서 자기결정성 동기의 지적성취에서는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나 학력이 높을수록 유아교사의 지적성취 동기도 높은 것을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 사회적 문제해결능력은 근무기관 유형에 따라서는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으나 학력, 경력에 있어서는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 유아교사의 자기결정성 동기와 사회적 문제해결능력의 관계에서는 내적강요 동기요인이 부정적 문제해결을, 그리고 지적자극 추구 동기요인이 합리적 문제해결을 설명하는데 있어 중요한 변인임을 알 수 있었다. 전체적으로는 자기결정성 동기 전체가 사회적 문제해결능력 전체를 설명해 주는 의미 있는 변인임을 알 수 있었다.

Abstract

This study analyzes the relationship of self-determination motivation and social problem-solving abilities to certain background variables of kindergarten teachers. Subjects for this study were 146 teachers at kindergartens in A and B areas. The collected data were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis, using the SPSS/PC 12.0. The results of this study are as follows. 1) There were no statistically significant differences in the teachers’ self-determination motivation related to the types of the institutions in which they worked, or with their academic backgrounds and career experience. However, there were statistically significant differences in the teachers’ self-determination motivation to accomplish, which were dependent upon their academic background. 2) There were statistically significant differences in the social problem-solving ability related to the types of the institutions in which they worked. However, there were no such meaningful differences related to their career experience and academic backgrounds. 3) Kindergarten teachers’ self-determination motivation to introjected regulation factor was an important variable in relation to negative problem orientation and intrinsic motivation to the experience stimulation factor was a significant variable to rational problem solving in the relationship between kindergarten teachers’ self-determination and their social problem solving ability. On the whole, we can conclude that kindergarten teachers’ self determination motivation was a meaningful variable to support their social problem solving ability.
