본 연구는 유아의 배움을 깊이 있게 이해하기 위해 유아 간 기록공유를 하는 유아와 이에 귀기울이는 교사의 경험을 탐구하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 2024년 10월부터 2025년 2월까지 G 유치원 5세 학급의 유아 16명이 자신들의 놀이와 일상이 담긴 기록을 또래와 공유하였으며 담임교사인 연구자 1은 이 과정을 기록하였다. 주요 연구자료는 유아가 작성한 기록과 유아 간 공유 과정을 전사한 기록, 교사의 기록과 반성적 저널 등이었다. 수집된 자료를 분석한 결과, 유아 간 기록공유는 유아에게 자신을 드러내고 친구를 더 깊이 알아가는 시간이었다. 유아들은 그 시간을 즐기고 또래와 나누는 기록과 담화에 얽혀 각자의 표현과 사고가 변화되어 가는 모습을 보였다. 참여교사에게는 또래의 관점으로 유아를 바라보고, 유아의 배움에 감응하며 학급 교육과정의 방향을고민하도록 하였다. 이러한 과정에서 교사는 유아의 관점으로 자신의 교육적 행위를 성찰하게 되었다. 본 연구는 유아가 작성한 기록과 유아 간 공유라는 유아의 관점을 최대한 활용하여 유아의삶과 배움을 이해하고 교사의 역할에 대해 재고하게 한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This study aims to gain a deeper understanding of young children’s learning experience through sharing their documentation with each other and the teacher who listen to them. From October 2024 to February 2025, 16 five-year-old children in a kindergarten class shared documentation of their play and daily lives with their peers. Researcher 1, their homeroom teacher, documented this process. Primary data included the children’s documentation, transcripts of their documentation-sharing, the classroom’s record and reflective journals. The results show that sharing documentation allows children to express themselves and get to know their friends better. Young children enjoyed the time and became entangled in the documentation and conversations they shared with their peers, showing changes in their expressions and thinking. For the participating teacher, this process encouraged her to view the children from their perspectives, respond to their learning, and reflect on the direction of the classroom curriculum. Through this process, teacher was able to reflect on her educational practices from the children’s perspective. It is significant that this study maximizes the use of young children’s documentation and shared experiences to understand young children’s lives and learning, and rethink the role of teachers
