인간은 진정한 대화 속에서 인격을 형성하는 ‘대화적 자아’이다. 주아(I)와 객아(me)로 구분되는 자아는 ‘놀이(play)와 경기(game)라는 두 단계를 거치면서 인격적 자아-정체성을 구성하게 된다. 진정한 대화는 ‘나-너’의 인격적 만남이 그 본질이며, ‘무엇에 관한 말’이 아니라 ‘누구를 향한 말’로 이루어지는 대화이다. 진정한 대화는 토론이나 담화와는 다르다. 그것은 상호주체성이 존중되며, 공동으로 의미를 부여하는 과정이며, 공개적이고 혁신적이어야 한다. 인격교육으로서의 도덕교육의 대화학습은 지식교육으로서의 과학교육에서 이루어지는 담화나 토론을 통한 대화학습과는 전적으로 다른 것이어야 한다. 그것은 반드시 ‘대화 속의 도덕교육’이어야 한다.
Abstract
A human being makes itself from a individual to a person in dialogue. Therefore, a person can be called as a dialogical self. The self being composed of I and Me has a personal self-identity by passing through two stages which are called as play and game. The essence of genuine dialogue is a personal meeting of I and thou. And it is not ‘speaking about’ but ‘speaking to’ which make up the genuine dialogue. The dialogue is entirely different from discussion and conversation. The intersubjectivity is of importance in the dialogue. It is a process of composing the common signification(not sense). And it is open and innovative. The learning in dialogue of moral education as character education has to be entirely different from the learning by means of conversation or discussion of science education as a knowledge education. The genuine moral education must be ‘moral education in dialogue’.
