본 글의 목적은 2022년에 고시된 도덕과 교육과정에 근거한 새로운 교과서의 개발과 ‘도덕과 교육’의 방법론에 도움을 주기 위함이다. ‘도덕과 교육’의 방법론은 어린이들의 도덕적 지식의 형성과정과 일관해야 한다. 도덕적 지식 구성은 인간의 언어 세계의 의미 구성과 불가분의 관계에 있기 때문이다. 인간의 도덕적 지식은 자유 주체의 사회적 의미 구성 그 자체이다. 인간은 그렇게 의미화하며 도덕적으로 진화를 해왔다. 도덕적 의미 구성은 상호 소통적 대화의 과정 위에 성립된다. 언어로 표현되고 언어로 창조되는 것이 인간의 도덕본성인 것이다. 도덕성은 언어의 의미성에 갇혀 있다. 그것은 다름 아닌 상호작용이라는 대화성으로 언표된다. 인간 삶의 세계란 사회적 언어로 표현되는 의미 세계에 지나지 않는다. 인간의 삶의 행위는 언어 안에 있으며, 무엇보다도 사고에 선행하여 언어가 우선되며, 언어를 초월하거나 언어로 일탈되는 행위는 가능하지 않음을 의미한다. 따라서 사회적 구성주의에 있어서 대화의 ‘도덕과 교육’은 언어에 의해 창조되는 개념 세계이며 그 개념의 창조는 어린이들에게 삶의 새로운 지평을 열어주게 된다. 도덕교과서의 개발과 ‘도덕과 교육’의 방법론은 이에 정합해야 할 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to assist in the development of a new textbook and methodology of moral subject education based on the moral curriculum announced in 2022. The methodology of moral subject education must be consistent with the process of forming children's moral knowledge. This is because the construction of moral knowledge is inseparable from the construction of meaning in the human language world. Human moral knowledge is the very construction of social meaning of free subjects. Humans have evolved morally in that way. The construction of moral meaning is established on the process of mutual communicative dialogue. Human moral nature is expressed and created through language. Morality is trapped in the semantics of language. It is expressed through none other than the dialogical nature of interaction. The world of human life is nothing more than a world of meaning expressed in social language. The act of human life is within language, and above all, language comes first before thinking, meaning that actions that transcend language or deviate from language are not possible. Therefore, moral subject education through dialogue in social constructivism is a world of concepts created through language and the creation of concepts opens up new horizons of life for children. The development of moral textbooks and the methodology of moral subject education must be consistent with this.
