예비유아교사의 유아동요 인식에 대한 은유적 표현 분석 연구

본 연구는 예비유아교사들의 유아동요에 대한 인식을 은유 분석을 통해 살펴보고, 그에 담긴 교육적의미를유형화하고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 서울 및 경기 지역 4년제 대학에서 유아교육을 전공 중인 예비유아교사138명이며, 이 중 응답의 적절성을 검토하여 123부를 최종 분석에 활용하였다. 수집된 자료는 체계적 은유분석 절차에 따라 범주화하고, 각 범주의 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였다. 분석 결과, 예비유아교사들이 인식한유아동요에 대한 은유는 총 7가지 범주로 나타났다. 주요 범주는 ‘감정의 균형을 돕는 정서적 음악 경험’, ‘상상과 창의적 표현을 이끄는 음악적 자극’, ‘발달을 통합적으로 지원하는 음악’, ‘자발적 몰입을 촉진하는 음악놀이’, ‘일상에 스며든 음악적 환경’, ‘소통과 유대를 매개하는 음악’, ‘기억과 문화를 담은 음악’이었다. 이를통해 예비유아교사들이 유아동요를 단순한 노래 부르기를 넘어 정서, 예술, 발달, 놀이, 관계, 문화 등 다양한교육적 의미를 지닌 통합적 교육 매체로 인식하고 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 예비유아교사의 인식을 반영하여 유아동요의 교육적 가치와 유아음악교육 및 교사 양성과정의 방향을 재조명하는 기초자료로서 의의를 갖는다.
Abstract
This study investigated pre-service early childhood teachers’ perceptions of children’s songs through metaphor analysis and categorized the educational meanings embedded within them. Participants were 138 pre-service teachers majoring in early childhood education at four-year uni versities in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. After evaluating the appropriateness of re sponses, 123 valid cases were included in the final analysis. The data were analyzed using a system atic metaphor analysis procedure, and frequencies and percentages were calculated for each category. The analysis yielded seven metaphorical categories reflecting participants’ perceptions of children’s songs: (1) emotional musical experiences that promote emotional balance; (2) musical stim uli that inspire imagination and creative expression; (3) music that supports holistic development; (4) musical play that encourages voluntary engagement; (5) a musical environment embedded in daily life; (6) music that mediates communication and connection; and (7) music that embodies memory and culture. These findings suggest that pre-service early childhood teachers perceive children’s songs not merely as tools for singing activities but as multifaceted educational media with emotional, artis tic, developmental, relational, and cultural significance. The results offer foundational insights for re-examining the educational role of children’s songs and provide implications for early childhood music education and teacher preparation programs.
