위기 청소년을 대상으로 한 멘토의 역량 강화 방안에 관한 연구

본 연구는 멘토링 프로그램에 영향을 미치고 있는 구성요소 중 인적구성요소인 멘토에 초점을 맞추고 멘토가 제 역할을 잘 수행할 수 있도록 하기 위해 멘토역량 강화방안을 제안한 것이다. 첫째 멘토링 프로그램에서 복지관의 지원정도 영역에서의 현수준은 멘티에 대한 정보제공 지원 정도는 있으나 멘토교육과 슈퍼비전은 낮은 것으로 나타나고 있다. 이에 반해 중요도과 우선성에서는 높은 수치를 보이고 있으므로 멘토교육과 슈퍼비전 지원을 강화할 수 있는 방안을 찾아야 할 것이다. 둘째로 멘토 활동 수행능력에서의 현수준에서는 합당한 목표설정은 평균이상의 수치를 보이고 있으나 멘티를 가르치는 능력이나 불확실한 상황에서의 판단능력은 낮은 것으로 나타나고 있으므로 임상경험을 갖춘 슈퍼바이저의 정기적 슈퍼비전 통해 멘토의 역량을 강화시킬 수 있는 방안이 모색되어야 한다. 세 번째로 상담능력에서는 기본적으로 의사소통에 대한 기술은 현수준에서 높게 나타나고있으나 멘티 상황 대처능력과 멘티를 평가하지 않고 있는 그대로 수용할 수 있는 수용적 태도에서는 순위가 낮은 것으로 나타나 전담 관리자의 지원과 상담교육이 필요하다. 넷째로는 멘토와 멘티 간의 관계증진 능력으로 현수준에서 멘티의 역량에 대한 지각은 높은 수치를 보이고 있지만 멘티가 멘토를 신뢰하여 모델링으로 인식하는 부분에서는 낮은 수치를 보이고 있어 멘토에 대한 지속적인 지지 방안이 모색되어야 한다. 다섯 번째로 멘토의 연계․협력능력에서는 현수준에서 전담 관리자와의 상호협조관계는 어느 정도 이루어지고 있으며 멘티와 관련 있는 지역연계기관 활용에 있어서는 낮게 나타나고 있다. 반면에 중요도와 우선성에서는 지역연계기관 활용 부분이 높은 수치를 보이고 있어 멘토들에게 지역연계기관 활용 능력을 갖도록 방법을 제시하고 연계 활용할 수 있는 여건을 조성해 주어야 한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to propose the strengthening plans of mentorempowerment so that mentors may play their role, focusing on mentors who are human resources elements among the structuring elements which influence mentoring programs. data were collected from 324mentors who are working as mentors or used to work as mentors at the 10 community social welfare centers where mentoring programs are being carried out or used to be carried out among 25 social welfare centers in Daegu. In the mentoring programs that are being executed now at community social welfare centers, the ability level of mentors who are working as mentors show average value 2.44 at the single sample statistic volume. The highest value 4.00 is regarded as standard. Much is left to be improved and supplemented. The plans for improvement are as follows. First , according to the mentoring programs the community social welfare centers provide good information to mentees in the present level of mentors who worked as mentors in the field of support for social welfare centers, but the mentor education and supervision which directly influence mentor empowerment show low levels. As for the level of importance and priority, high numerical value is shown. Therefore the plans to strengthen the support for the mentor education and supervision should be prepared.Second, as for the performance ability of mentor activity, the proper creation of the goal is realized. The ability to cope with the uncertain situation in the importance and the priority shows a high level. The plans to strengthen the mentors ability through the regular supervision by the supervisor with the field experience.Third, as for the counselling ability, basically the communication skill, the present level is shown high. The mentees coping ability of a situation and receptive attitude as they are without the evaluation of mentees show low level. Therefore the counselling education to supplement it is necessary. as for the promotion ability of relationship between mentors and mentees the perception of mentees' ability show high numerical value. The consistent support plan for mentors should be prepared in order that mentees may trust mentors, as a result, mentors may be recognized as a model of guidance.
