주어와 서술어의 생략 현상 연구

이 연구는 주어와 서술어의 생략 현상을 고찰하고 분석하는 것을 그 목적으로 하였다. 주어와 서술어의 특성에 따른 생략 현상의 차이를 연구하고 시나리오를 분석하여 주어 생략의 차이와 서술어 생략의 차이에 대한 통계적인 연구를 시도하였다. 한국어의 주어는 회복가능성 조건만 충족이 되어도 쉽게 생략이 일어나고, 영어에서는 동일성 조건이 충족이 되어야만 생략이 일어난다. 한국어에서는 담화참여자가 복구만 할 수 있으면 주어가 생략이 되지만 영어는 담화참여자가 복구할 수 있는 주어라고 해도 반복이 되어서 사용되거나, 가주어나 대용어를 사용하여 생략되지 않고 실현되는 경우가 많다. 서술어는 한국어보다는 영어에서 생략이 많이 일어나는데 이것은 영어의 서술어가 일반동사와 be동사로 나뉘어 be동사가 한국어의 서술격 조사와 같은 역할을 함으로써 쉽게 생략이 되기 때문이다. 또한 한국어는 술어 중심의 언어여서 서술어를 취하는 것이 일반적이지만, 영어는 주어 중심의 언어여서 부사어 혹은 명사구로만 이루어진 문장들이 많이 쓰이므로 서술어가 생략이 되기 쉽다. 주어는 한국어가 68.79%, 영어가 32.22%의 비율로 생략이 일어나고 있으며 서술어는 한국어가 4.75%, 영어가 16.31%의 비율로 생략이 일어나고 있다. 주어는 영어보다 한국어에서 생략이 많이 일어나며, 서술어는 한국어보다 영어에서 생략이 많이 일어난다. 또한 두 언어 모두 서술어보다 주어에서 생략이 많이 일어난다.
Abstract
The purpose of this dissertation is to consider ellipsis of a subject and a verb around comparison of Korean and English. This study analyzed scenarios precisely and extracted a difference of ellipsis between a subject and a verb statistically. Just only satisfying recoverability can occur ellipsis frequently at a subject of Korean. But also satisfying identity can occur ellipsis at a subject of English. If people in conversation expected, a subject would occur ellipsis at Korean, but even though such a subject doesn't occur ellipsis at a English. Ellipsis on verb occur frequently at English than at Korean because the verb of English are classified into be-verbs and general verbs. Be-verbs are omitted easily. Also to take verbs is a general tendency at Korean because the verb is the center of Korean. On the contrary verbs can omit at English and there are many sentences using just adverbs or nouns because the noun is the center of English. According to statistics of this study, ellipsis occur 68.79% of Korean, 32.22% of English at a subject and ellipsis occur 4.75% of English, 16.31% of English at a verb.
