덩샤오핑 시기 중국 엘리트 정치의 파벌 분석

초록

이 논문은 보수파와 개혁파에 초점을 맞추어 덩샤오핑 시기의 파벌을 분석하려고 한다. 먼저 보수파와 개혁파의 정책 지향을 이해하기 위해 천윈과 덩샤오핑의 주장을 분석한다. 두 파벌은 경제개혁에 대해 분명히 다른 견해를 갖고 있었다. 또한 두 파벌의 정치개혁에 대한 정책과 덩샤오핑의 독특한 정치관을 검토한다. 정치개혁과 관련하여 덩샤오핑 등 원로들은 모두 보수파였고, 개혁파는 후야오방과 자오쯔양이 대표했다. 마지막으로 덩샤오핑 시기의 정치적 파동(political wave)을 초래한 원인을 살펴본다. 이런 파동은 파벌 분화와 함께 공산당이 완전히 통제할 수 없는 사회세력의 증가, 국제적 영향력의 확대 등이 복합적으로 작용한 결과다.

Abstract

This article analyzes factions in the Deng Xiaoping era focusing on the conservatives and reformers. First, it investigates the arguments of Chen Yun and Deng Xiaoping in order to understand the policy orientations of the conservatives and the reformers. The two factions had apparent different ideas on economic reforms. Then this article examines the political reform policies of the conservatives and reformers, and Deng Xiaoping’s views of political reform. Regarding political reform, all elders (yuanlao) including Deng Xiaoping were the conservatives while Hu Yaobang and Zhao Ziyang represented the reformers. Finally, it delves into the causes of political waves in the Deng era. On top of factional struggle, the increase of social forces beyond the control of the party-state and the increasing influence of international affairs exercised vital roles in causing this phenomenon
