이 논문에서는 1960~70년대 모더니즘 시를 대상으로 전체성의 원리와 개인－주체의 갈등, 언어 미학의 역동성을 조명해 보았다. 황동규․이승훈․오규원은 각각 공포와 환상, 냉소의 방법론을 통해서, 전체주의 담론이 구축한 이데올로기에 대응해 간다. 공포와 환상, 냉소는 균질화된 담론의 전체성에 포함된 균열을 드러내는 징후인 동시에, 전체의 억압에 대한 주체의 감각적 대응 방식을 보여주는 미적 방법론이다. 각각의 방법론의 차이에도 불구하고 이들은 모두 사회 전체를 관통하는 전체주의적 언어의 지배에 대응하는 ‘개인’의 내면을 미학적 출발점으로 삼는다는 점에서 시대적 감수성을 공유하고 있다고 하겠다. 이러한 단독자의 개인주의적 세계는, 일차적으로 전체주의 담론으로부터 스스로를 소외시킨 주체가 선택한 미학적 저항의 거점으로서 의미를 지니는 것이다. 그러나 이러한 개인－주체가 자기보존이라는 사인화(私人化)된 영역에 구축될 때, 그것은 전체성의 신화를 대치하는 새로운 신화로 기능하게 된다. 이것은 1960~70년대의 담론 장에서 ‘전체’의 대립항으로 출현한 ‘개인’이, 규제와 억압에 대한 대항적 주체인 동시에 지배이념을 내면화함으로써 스스로를 ‘국민’ 혹은 ‘민족’으로 승인하는 자발적 동원의 주체라는 양가성을 내장하고 있음을 환기시킨다.
Abstract
This study purposed to make a analysis of the poems of Whang dongkyue, Lee seunghoon and Oh gyuewon, the poems representing the 1960~70s, particularly focused on the conflict of the governed ideology and resist ideology. In the 1960~70s, Korean society was facing the emergence of the ideology of growth and development amplified by capitals as a dominant discourse, gearing with statism and totality. In the 1960~70s when the value of modernization was forced by the state, the dominant discourse of the ideology of growth and development easily tied up an individual into the nation. The desire to identification of the statism built up the myth of totality. At the same time, the discourse of resistance are based on the Individual who denied the identification to the dominant ideology and resist to the totality. This study made a analysis of poetic subject’s attitude, aesthetic knowledge and the versification of the modernist poem. The poetic subject of this three poets’ poetry presents the Horror, Fantasy and Cynicism. These represent the poetic subject’s attitude towards contradictory statism. On the other side these are strategic method to avoid the pressure of dominant discourse and protect themselves from the ideology that given by the state. In the 1960~70s, the poetic subjects show such an ambivalent attitude that is resistance and obedience
