이 연구의 목적은 한국어 학습자의 구어에서 나타나는 정형표현의 사용 양상을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국어능력시험(TOPIK) 말하기 평가 자료를 활용하였으며, 형태 통사적, 담화적 특성을 바탕으로 정형표현을 분석하였다. 숙달도 수준과 과제 유형에 따라 정형표현 사용에 어떤 차이가 나타나는지를 살펴본 결과, 고급 학습자일수록 다양한 정형표현을 사용하였으며 과제 유형에 따라서도 정형표현의 사용 양상이 달라지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 정형표현 사용 빈도와 말하기 평가 점수 간에는 유의미한 상관관계가 확인되어 정형표현이 학습자의 의사소통 능력 향상에 기여함을 시사한다. 본 연구는 한국어 교육에서 정형표현을 효과적으로 교수‧학습할 수 있는 방안을 모색하는 데 기초 자료를 제공한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This study investigates the use of formulaic expressions in the spoken discourse of Korean language learners. Speech data from TOPIK speaking test takers were analyzed by extracting formulaic expressions based on morphological, syntactic, and discourse features. The study examines variations in the use of these expressions across proficiency levels and task types. Results indicate that higher-proficiency learners employed a broader range of formulaic expressions, and that usage patterns differed depending on the task. A positive correlation was also found between the frequency of formulaic expressions and speaking assessment scores, suggesting their contribution to enhancing communicative competence. This study highlights the pedagogical value of incorporating formulaic expressions into Korean language instruction for L2 learners.
