한국어 화행의 전략 연구－관용 문장을 중심으로－

본 연구의 목적은 한국어 관용 문장의 분석을 통하여 화행 목적을 달성하기 위한 전략을 밝히는 것이다. 관용 문장은 기존의 관용구 중 문장 형식으로 된 것으로서 이들은 모두 화행을 가지고 있다. 관용 문장의 예로는 ‘개미 새끼 하나 얼씬 못한다.’, ‘걸음아 날 살려라.’ 따위가 있다. 관용 문장은 다의적인 뜻까지 포함하여 총 30개를 연구 대상으로 삼았다. 이들은 크게 8개의 화행(진술화행, 정표화행, 명령화행, 청유화행, 약속화행, 긍정화행, 부정화행, 비공감화행)으로 나누어지며, 하위화행으로는 21개(혹평화행, 단언화행, 장담화행, 단정화행, 이해화행, 기쁨화행, 탄식화행, 경악화행, 황당화행, 조롱화행, 타박화행, 명령화행(협의), 경고화행, 요구화행, 선동화행, 약속화행(협의), 각오화행, 긍정화행(협의), 수정화행, 일축화행)로 나누어진다. 이들에서 발견된 전략은 소재, 문법, 표현, 태도를 활용한 것이었으며, 총 20개(비선호적 결과 소재 전략, 연역 이유 소재 전략, 상대 이유 소재 전략, 화제 무언급 소재 전략, 반복 문법 전략, 은유 표현 전략, 과장 표현 전략, 항진 명제 표현 전략, 간접화행 표현 전략, 운소 표현 전략, 겸양 태도 전략, 하대 태도 전략, 자기 높임 태도 전략, 과대 표출 태도 전략, 분노 정서 유도 태도 전략, 배제 태도 전략, 의지 태도 전략, 상대방 입장 지각 태도 전략, 당연 지각 태도 전략, 예상 적중 지각 태도 전략)가 사용되었다. 이들에게서 발견된 전략을 통하여 발화의 목적에 해당하는 화행을 강하게, 때론 약하여 공손하게(상대의 부담감을 줄임), 인상적(때론 자극적)으로, 명시적으로, 상대의 수긍 가능성을 높여서, 화행 목표 외의 다른 함축을 전달하여서, 상대의 감정을 선양(煽揚)하여서 효과적으로 달성하고 있었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify strategies for achieving the purpose of speech-act by analyzing the sentences of Korean idiom. The idiomatic sentence is that the existing idiom plays the role of an speech-act, and it says, ‘I can not see an ant child.’ and ‘Hey, step! Take care of me.’ etc. A total of thirty pieces of idiomatic sentences are included in the study including the polysemic meanings. These are divided into eight main speech-acts; statement speech-act, command speech-act, proposing speech-act, promise speech-act, affirming speech-act, denying speech-act, and non-symmetrical speech-act. A total of these sub speech-acts are 21; sophistication speech-act, asseveration speech-act, assuring speech-act, assertiveness speech-act, comprehension speech-act, joyful speech-act, slang speech-act, horror speech-act, absurd speech-act, mock speech-act, bored speech-act, command speech-act(narrow meaning), warning speech-act, request speech-act, propaganda speech-act, promissory speech-act(narrow meaning), affirmative speech-act, affirming speech-act(narrow meaning), modified speech-act, and unilateral speech-act. These strategies are based on materials, grammar, expressions, and attitudes. And the total number is 20: non-preferred outcome material strategy, deductive cause material strategy, opponent reason material strategy, topic-no-mention material strategy, repetitive grammar strategy, metaphorical expressive strategy, exaggerated expressive strategy, tautology expressive strategy, indirect speech-act expressive strategy, prosodie expressive strategy, moderate attitude strategy, contemptuous attitude strategy, self-exaltation attitude strategy, overplay attitude strategy, inducing anger sentiment attitude strategy, exclusion attitude strategy, intention attitude strategy, perceptions of opponents attitude strategy, natural perception attitude strategy, anticipated hit attitude strategy. These strategies are effectively achieving the speech-act for the purpose of utterance as follows; strongly, sometimes weakly and politely, impressively, explicitly, by increasing the likelihood of acceptance, by conveying another implication other than an action target, and by fostering opponent's feelings.
