Abstract
[Purpose] The purpose of this study was to develop and measure performance indicators to understand non-financial management performance according to the input of human and physical resources among management resources of rapidly growing veterinary hospitals. The purpose is to present practical implications for the efficient management of veterinary hospitals following the introduction of facilities and equipment. In order to understand the non-financial management performance of the input of human and physical resources among the management resources of the rapidly growing veterinary hospital, the conditional statement of the Q methodology was developed and measured, and the influence relationship of the facility and equipment introduction by the decision maker of the veterinary hospital was identified. The purpose is to present practical implications for the efficient management of veterinary hospitals. [Methodology] In this study, human psychology, cognition, attitude, behavior, etc. The analysis was conducted using the Q methodology, which is a scientific method that can quantitatively analyze human subjectivity. Infer a hypothesis that fits the model, develop a questionnaire based on the Q methodology through prior research, set a sample for 30 interviewees through an intensive interview method, conduct research, and analyze the data values of the sample through statistical analysis for demographic analysis and hypothesis testing After validating the hypothesis through the research method. [Findings] As a result of the analysis by the Q methodology, it was divided into three types :reality-oriented type, facility investment preference type, and customer-oriented type, and important measurement variables were derived for each type. Through the factor weights of the P sample for each type, the higher the factor weight, the more the characteristics of the type were classified. Of the total P sample of 20, 7 respondents belonged to Type 1, 5 were to Type 2, and 8 were to Type 3, and the number of respondents with a factor weight of 1.0 or higher for each type was 7 of Type 1 and 7 of Type 2 Type 5 patients and type 3 patients were 5 people. For each type, the increase in the number of treatment cases, work experience, and increase in the number of new customers in Type 1 affected the performance, and in Type 2, the latest systems and advanced equipment were found to affect non-financial performance. In type 3, inpatient treatment was analyzed as an important factor to enhance business performance, and various practical implications could be presented. [Implications] It can be said that it is important to obtain various opportunities to gain experience in the same industry among the competencies of not only the founders but also the employees working at the veterinary hospital as personal experience among personal characteristics acts as an important factor in achieving performance. In relation to the impact on non-financial business performance of veterinary hospital decision makers due to the cost of introducing facilities and equipment, facility-oriented investment does not affect non-financial performance. Practical implications are presented to help Ultimately, the management of human resources will be necessary to the extent that it becomes a vicious cycle that is passed on to the consumer and lowers customer satisfaction. As a practical implication, it can be said that it is important to obtain various opportunities to gain experience in the same industry among the competencies of not only the founders but also the employees employed in veterinary hospitals, as personal experience among personal characteristics acts as an important factor in raising performance. As personal experience is important in influencing non-financial performance, it will be important to gain experience while working in the same industry before opening a veterinary hospital. In addition, in terms of management resources, it is more important to improve business performance through service improvement, professionalism improvement, and management capability improvement, rather than investing in physical resources such as the latest facilities in which veterinary hospitals compete. Investment in physical resources raises costs, and the cost is ultimately passed on to consumers, which will lead to a vicious cycle of lower customer satisfaction, so human resource management will be required.
