본고에서는 한지고 가계의 인물 중 耶律隆祐의 墓誌銘을 분석대상으로 삼았다. 야율융우는 『遼史』의 韓德凝이라는 인물로 비정되는데, 그는 韓德讓(耶律隆運) 이외에 추가적으로 확인이 되는 거란화한 한인이다. 게다가 그가 발해인과 혼인하였다는 점에서도 그의 묘지명을 주목할 만한 가치가 있다. 본 묘지명과 관련해서 중국에서는 두 편의 논문이 발표되었는데, 劉鳳翥 등은 야율융우 묘지명의 내용과 誌蓋의 圖案에 대해서 상세하게 고증하였고, 王青煜 등은 묘주인 耶律隆祐와 『遼史』에 등장하는 耶律隆祐가 별개의 인물임을 지적하고, 두 인물의 이력과 생몰년을 대조하였다. 다만, 국내에서 본 묘지명에 대해 본격적으로 다룬 연구는 없다. 게다가 묘지명 자체가 고전을 인용하면서 서술한다는 특징을 갖고 있기 때문에, 묘지명의 내용을 제대로 이해하기 위해서는 상세한 역주작업을 병행할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에 수록된 묘지명 역주를 통해 요대 한인과 발해인에 대한 이해가 심화되기를 기대한다.
Abstract
This paper analyzes the epitaph of Yelü Longyou, a figure from the Han Zhigu family line. Yelü Longyou is believed to correspond to Han De-ning in the Liao History. Besides Han Derang (Yelü Longyun), he is another identifiable Han Chinese who underwent Kitanization. Furthermore, his marriage to a Balhae descendant adds significant research value to his epitaph. Regarding this epitaph, two related studies have been published in Chinese academia. Liu Fengzhu et al. conducted a detailed examination of the epitaph's content and the design on the epitaph cover. Wang Qingyu et al. pointed out that the tomb owner, Yelü Longyou, is a different individual from the Yelü Longyou mentioned in the Liao History, and they compared the life histories and birth-death dates of the two figures. However, there seems to be no in-depth research on this epitaph within the domestic academic community. Additionally, given the epitaph’s unique characteristic of citing classical literature, it is necessary to carry out a thorough annotation to fully understand its content. Through the annotation and study of this epitaph, it is hoped that our understanding of Han Chinese and Bohai interactions during the Liao dynasty will be deepened.
