초등학습자를 위한 행위 주체성 함양 프로그램의 효과와 향후 과제

본 연구의 목적은 초등학습자의 행위주체성 함양 수업 프로그램을 개발, 실행하고, 해당 수업 프로그램이 행위주체성을 함양하는 데에 어느 정도로 효과가 있는지를 검토하는 데에 있다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 초등학습자 행위주체성의 구성 요인 중 목적성, 공동체주체성, 책임감을 중심으로 총 16차시로 이루어진 수업 프로그램을 개발하고 실행하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저, 목적성 수업에서 실험집단과 통제집단의 검사 점수 비교 결과, 두 집단 간에는 유의한 차이가 있었다. 다음으로, 책임감 수업에서 실험집단과 통제집단의 검사 점수 비교 결과, 두 집단 간에는 유의한 차이가 있었다. 반면에, 공동체주체성과 학습상호작용 영역의 경우, 사전 검사 수준을 통제한 뒤, 실험집단과 통제집단의 사후 검사 점수를 비교한 결과, 두 집단 간에는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 이상의 분석은 다음과 같은 내용을 시사한다. 첫째, 목적성 및 책임감 함양 수업은 본 연구에서 개발한 수업을 기반으로 수정·보완하여 그 효과성을 더 엄밀하게 검증해 볼 필요가 있다. 가령, 자신의 하루 일과, 일주일 생활의 시간 사용 현황을 파악하는 활동, 장기적인 생활 목표의 수립 및 달성 노력의 프로젝트 활동 등이 그것에 해당한다. 책임감의 경우에는 기존 체크리스트의 세부 내용을 정련화하는 작업, 체크리스트 점검 결과를 기반으로 한 성찰 중심의 수업 등을 생각해 볼 수 있다. 둘째, 공동체주체성과 학습상호작용 함양 수업은 전반적으로 재조직하여 그 효과를 다시 검증해 볼 필요가 있다. 이와 관련하여 창의적 체험활동과 연계한 자치활동 및 민주시민교육활동, 학생 주도형 동아리 활동 운영 등의 방안을 모색하는 것도 한 가지 좋은 방안이 될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop and implement a class program to develop elementary learners agency and to examine the extent to which the class program is effective in developing agency. To this end, this study developed and implemented a class program consisting of a total of 16 sessions focusing on purpose, community agency, and responsibility. The results are as follows: First, as a result of comparing the test scores of the experimental group and the control group in the ‘purpose’ class, there was a significant difference between the two groups. Next, as a result of comparing the test scores of the two groups in the ‘responsibility’ class, there was a significant difference between the two groups. On the other hand, in the area of ‘community agency’ and ‘learning interaction’, after controlling for the pre-test level, there was no significant difference between the two groups as a result of comparing the post-test scores of the experimental and control groups. The above analysis suggests the following regarding the cultivation of agency in elementary school learners. First, it is necessary to revise and supplement the ‘purpose’ and ‘responsibility’ developing class based on the class developed in this study and verify its effectiveness more rigorously. Second, it is necessary to reorganize the community agency and learning interaction developing classes overall and re-verify their effectiveness.
