Abstract

In 1990’s, which was like this, "The Japanese Military Sexual Slavery" issue was raised as part of the postwar compensation movement asking Japan's national responsibility, and as the movements of domestic and foreign civic groups to slove the issue expanded, Revisionists (deniers) became more active as a reaction. Unlike Germany, there are revisionists of a political leader in Japan. As a representative figure, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe tried to make the Kono Statement meaningless, which was announced in 1993, with the 2015 'Korea- Japan Japanese Military Sexual Slavery Agreement'. In addition, the ultimate purpose of this denial(부정론) to realize Japan's 'normal state theory' (enabling possession of military forces). It is also necessary to clarify that there are parts that need to be revised as a result of historical research based on facts, not based on the evaluation of Kono Statement and the negative revisionism. We looked at how the absurd claims that there was no 'forceful taking away' or that it was only licensed prostituete(공창) for commercial activuties, which claim to deny Japan's national responsibility in the 'Japanese Military Sexual Slavery' issue, was formed as Japanese perception. It was made clear that the 'thoughless remarks(망언)' that there was no 'forceful taking away(강제연행)' or that it was only a licensed prostitute(공창) for commercial activities against survivors of the 'Japanese Military Sexual Slavery' in the 1990s was a means of denying state responsibility in the comfort women issue. Regardless of what Japan's revisionists or deniers desire, the only way for historians to continue to get to the bottom of the truth based on historical records and share them through education will be to keep this issue a lesson from history.
