초록

This thesis focuses Luxun's writings on the history on the Chinese myth and legends, using the new writing style named Youhua, in Gushixinbian. Though Luxun does not mention Zhang Taiyan's Qiwulunshi directly, we can find similar themes repeated in both works, such as the boundary of life and death, the motive of the cycle of reincarnation, and dreams. Luxun's attitude toward Zhang Taiyan reflects Luxun's perspective on Chinese tradition. He primarily supports anti-tradition, although he cannot deny having read many Chinese classics as well as having experienced traditional Chinese culture in his youth. The writing style, youhua, directly connects with Zhang Taiyan's point of view on language mixed with the language of Zhuangzi and Buddhist Weishi. Furthermore, it is through endless effort that Luxun attempts to understand his world and surroundings with reflective thoughts and performative practice in order to reinterpret history with the voice of Hanzi living at present. On this view, this study traces the process of the way Luxun takes pains to find how he interprest history as Zhang Taiyan has the strong will to realize the revolution on “Wen”, connecting Zhang Taiyan with Luxun through the revolutionary thoughts on “Wen”.
