Abstract

In this study, the author divided the sample into two groups: near-miss laden group and near-miss free group, and conducted a multi-group analysis to identify the path between safety leadership, job burnout, job commitment, and safety behavior for rollingstock inspectors. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the Near-miss laden group had no relationship in the path from safety leadership to job engagement, while the near-miss free group had a significant relationship, so there was a significant difference in the path between the two groups. These findings highlight the fact that the effective safety leadership of managers is an important starting point in the causal cycle of enhancing safety behavior by increasing subordinates' job engagement and reducing human errors such as near-miss accidents.
