만주와 고향 － 『만선일보』 소재 시에 나타난 고향의식을 중심으로 －

이 글은 『만선일보』 문예면 소재 시에 나타난 고향의식 고찰을 목적으로 한다.『만선일보』는 일제 강점기 만주국에서 발간된 한글신문이었지만, 국책 선전지로서의 성격이 강하고 발표 작가들은 본격적인 문학 수업을 받지 못한 미숙련 작가들이 대부분이었다. 하지만 이를 감안한다 하더라도 『만선일보』가 만주국 내 유일한 조선문학의 장이었다는 점과 이른바 ‘만주담론’이 국외자들에 의해 형성된 것이었다는 점에서 『만선일보』 소재작에 대한 고찰은 재만 조선인 문학의 의미를 점검하는데 매우 긴요하다. 한편 이 글이 고향의식에 주목하는 까닭은 이미 만주국에서는 저항과 협력이 근친적 상호작용 속에 형성 발전해갔다는 데 있다. 따라서 이 글에서는 고향의식을 통해 저항이나 협력으로 가름할 수 없는 재만 조선인들의 의식의 중층성을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 이 글에서는 먼저 재만 조선인들을 무엇으로도 확정될 수 없는 ‘미결정의 존재’ 즉 ‘포함적 배제’의 존재로 규정하고, 이 삶과 삶의 형태를 분리시키는 ‘추방’의 상황에서 벗어나기 위해서는 삶과 삶의 형태를 일치시키기 위한 노력이 요구된다는 아감벤의 논의를 참조하였다. 그리고 재만 조선인 시인들에게서 고향은 ‘추방’당한 자들이 희구할 수 있는, 삶과 그 형태가 분리되지 않았던 삶의 원형질이라는 측면에서 살펴보았다. 고향은 삶과 삶의 형태가 일치했던 시절의 그리움이며 그것에 대한 소망을 기저로 하는 것이다. 이는 부왜적 성격이 강한 작품에서도 유사하게 드러난다. 이 글에서는 이들 부왜적 작품에 드러나는 고향의 의미를 협력의 문제로 볼 것인가 아닌가는 중시하지 않았다. 주목해야 할 것은 ‘미결정의 존재’로서 재만 조선인들이 정착과 정주를 위해 선택해야 했던 것이며, 그 정착과 정주를 위해 고향을 어떤 방식으로 소환해내고 있는가 이기 때문이다.
Abstract
This paper aims at considering a sense of hometown in poetry on 『Manseon Il-bo(daily)』. While 『Manseon Il-bo』 is a Korean Newspaper that was published in Manchukuo during the Japanese Colonial rule, it is more propaganda for a national policy than a daily newspaper, and most of authors were an unskilled writer who couldn’t have learned seriously literary training. However, even when considering that, it is very necessary to consider the works in 『Manseon Il-bo』 for examining the meaning of the Korean literature in Manchuria in that 『Manseon Il-bo』was only space of the Chosun Dynasty’s literature within Manchukuo,and that the so-called ‘Manchuria discourse was formed by outsiders. On the other hand, the reason why this article focused on a sense of hometown is in that resistance and cooperation was already built and developed by near relatively interaction in Manchukuo. Therefore, with a sense of hometown, this paper tried to find a deep-layer of consciousness of Korean in Manchuria that couldn’t be divided by resistance and cooperation. For this, this study described the Korean in Manchuria as ‘an undecided existence’ who cannot be identified by anything else, that is an existence of ‘inclusive exclusion’, and referred to Agamben’s argument which it requires to strive for being squared life with lifestyle for escaping the condition of ‘exile’ that decoupled lifestyle from life. In addition, this paper examined hometown in that Hometown is protoplasm of life for the Korean poets in Manchuria, which ‘the expellee’ could desire and didn’t divide lifestyle from life. Hometown is yearnings for while life and lifestyle was unified, and based on the desire for that. This can be also appeared on a work that has a strong traitor characteristic. This article de-emphasized if we can consider cooperating a sense of hometown in a work that conformed to the enemy or not. Something to notice here is what the Korean in Manchuria as ‘an undecided existence’ had to choice for settling and domiciliation, and with which way they have been recalling hometown for the settlement and domiciliation.
