중국어 회화교육 교수요목 연구- ‘책략능력(strategic competence)’향상을 위한 담화표지 교수요목을 중심으로

실제 입말 의사소통에서 생산된 발화를 보면 화자가 전달하고자 하는 메시지 외에도 이 메시지의 효율적 전달을 위해 기여하는 언어적 표현들의 사용이 종종 관찰된다. 메시지 조직 능력은 문법능력에 의해 길러 질 수 있다. 그러나 메시지의 효율적 전달을 위해서는 또 다른 측면의 능력이 요구되는데, 본고에서는 이를 책략능력이라고 규정하였다. 메시지 조직 능력과 책략능력이 조화를 이루어야 비로소 온전한 의사소통 능력을 갖출 수 있다. 책략능력은 순수언어지식의 습득으로만 이루어 질 수 없다. 책략능력을 향상시키기 위해서는 이른바 담화표지라고 하는 화용적 기능어에 대한 이해가 필수적인데, 본고에서는 ‘你知道吗’, ‘就是说’, ‘怎么说呢’, ‘那个’, ‘结果’ 등의 기능적 가치를 밝힘으로써 궁극적으로는 이 언어 형식들이 향후 중국어 회화교육의 교수요목이 되어야 함을 주장하였다.
Abstract
When we investigate speech acts that were produced during conversations in practice, it is often found using verbal expressions which contribute to deliver the messages efficiently. While the message-organizing skills can be developed on the basis of grammatical skills, there is another ability required for delivering the messages more effectively. This article defines this type of ability as ‘strategic competence’. A sound communication skill requires a combination of both message-organizing skills and strategic competence. This strategic competence cannot be developed solely from obtaining linguistic knowledge. In order to improve strategic competence, it is essential to understand pragmatic function words, so called pragmatic markers. This article explains the functional value of ‘你知道吗’, ‘就是说’, ‘怎么说呢’, ‘那个’, ‘结果’, and by doing so, it proposes these forms to be included in the curriculum of conversational Chinese.
