Abstract
The Chinese creative industry refers to the full range of Chinese cultural contents, assuming that Chinese cultural elements hold creative and competitive value in the global market. As a major form of urban cultural contents, the Shanghai Brand combines Haipai tradition with contemporary innovation and positions the city as an international cultural metropolis. Since the 2018–2020 “Shanghai Culture” action plan, Shanghai has advanced the systematization and content transformation of cultural resources and further strengthened cultural development through cultural–tourism integration, urban regeneration, and international communication during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Cultural initiatives such as the China Shanghai International Arts Festival, Shanghai Fashion Week, and creative industry clusters illustrate the linkage between urban spaces, cultural scenes, and creative industries. Through these practices, the Shanghai Brand integrates diverse cultural contents into a unified urban platform, making the relationship between China’s creative industry and urban cultural contents visibly manifested in the city.
