본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 1~2학년 이주 배경 학생들을 대상으로 교과학습용 어휘를 선정하는 것이다. 어휘 목록을 발굴하기 위해 초등학교 1~2학년 국어, 수학, 통합 교과 교과서에 등장하는 용어 중 학습 도구어와 학습 내용어를 추출하였다. 이 목록은 2017 한국어 교육과정 어휘 자료 목록, 국어 기초 어휘 연구(김한샘 외, 2023) 1등급 어휘, 연세초등국어사전(두산동아)을 교차 검토하였다. 최종 어휘 목록을 보면 초등학교 저학년이라 학습 내용어의 성격이 두드러지게 보이지 않는 특징이 있다. 이는 초등 저학년의 교과 학습 목표는 대부분 학습의 기초, 이후 학습을 위한 기반이 되는 경우가 많기 때문이다. 목록에 포함된 학습 내용어들은 이후 학년에서는 학습 도구어의 역할을 하게 될 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to select KSL(Korean as a Second Language) academic vocabulary for students from migrant backgrounds in the first and second grades of elementary school. In order to discover the vocabulary list, function words for learning and content words for learning were extracted among the terms appearing in the Korean, math, and integrated subject textbooks of the first and second grades of elementary school. This list was cross-examined with the vocabulary material list of the 2017 Korean language curriculum, the first grade (life vocabulary of preschoolers) vocabulary presented in the Korean Basic Vocabulary Study(Kim et al., 2023), and the Yonsei Elementary Korean Dictionary(Doosan Dong-A) to complete the vocabulary list review
