본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 인성역량 개발을 위한 교양교과 연계형 인성교육 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 연구의 이론적 배경으로 인성교육과 연관된 교육학계의 논의를 참고하면서, 미래 사회에서 요구되는 인성역량과 핵심역량, 교양교육과 인성교육의 연계성, 고전과 인문학 읽기를 통한 인성교육의 가능성을 탐색하였다. 본 연구에서는 대학생의 가치관 명료화, 자기 이해와 성장에 도움이 되는 고전과 인문학 텍스트를 인성교육 제재로 활용하였다. 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 대학 교양교육에서 고전과 인문학 텍스트를 활용한 교수·학습과정안을 설계·개발·제시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 종합하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고전과 인문학 텍스트를 활용한 인성교육과 관련된 이론적 측면을 분석한 후, 교양 교과목에서의 활용 가능성을 확인하였다. 둘째, 교양 교과목에서 대학생의 인성역량 함양을 위한 고전과 인문학 텍스트를 활용한 교수·학습과정안을 제시하였다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서 제시한 교양 연계형 인성교육 프로그램은 대학생의 인성역량을 효과적으로 강화하는 데 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다. 인문 교양교과 연계 인성교육 운영의 활성화를 위한 후속 연구로는 고전 텍스트별 인성역량 목록화, 수업 참여자의 인성역량 효과 검증을 제시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to present a plan for character education linked to liberal arts subjects for the development of character competency of college students. Referring to the discussion of pedagogical academia related to character education as the theoretical background of the study, the possibility of character education through reading classics and humanities was explored. In this study, texts of classics and humanities that help clarify the values of college students and self-understanding and growth were used as sanctions for character education. Based on the theoretical background, a teaching·learning curriculum using classical and humanities texts in university liberal arts education was designed, developed and presented. The research results are as follows. First, analyzing the theoretical aspects related to character education using classical and humanities texts, the possibility of use in liberal arts subjects was confirmed. Second, a teaching·learning curriculum using classical and humanities texts was presented to cultivate the character competency of college students in the liberal arts subject. In conclusion, it is judged that the character education program linked to liberal arts presented in this study will help effectively strengthen the character competency of college students. As a subsequent study to revitalize the operation of character education linked to humanities liberal arts subjects, the listing of character competency by classical texts and verification of the effectiveness of character competency of class participants were presented.
