Abstract
Recent metaphysicians try to find out the hierarchical structure of reality through the concept ‘Grounding’. However, Wilson is concerned about Grounding for two reasons. This paper shows how Grounding essentialism addresses those concerns effectively. But not all kinds of grounding essentialist can do the job equally well. I will show that Wallner’s version of Grounding essentialism faces two problems, making itself an unsatisfactory response for Wilson’s worries. On the other hand, my version of Grounding essentialism can evade those problems and also have a good answer for the worries.
