ADHD 및 자폐 아동의 실행기능 연구 및 측정도구 동향 분석

본 연구는 국내외 실행기능에 관한 연구 중 ADHD 및 자폐 아동을 대상으로 한 연구논문을 분석하여 실행기능 측정도구의 특성과 적용을 통해 국내외 연구의 동향을 비교하였다. 대상논문은 1997년부터 2009년 현재까지 실행기능을 적용한 국내외 실험연구 50편에서 사용되어진 실행기능 검사 도구 및 과제를 전문학술DB를 통하여 학회지 및 학술논문을 연구자, 년도, 실행기능 검사 및 과제, 측정 대상, 영역 별로 분석 요약하였다. 연구결과, 국내연구에서는 신경심리학분야와 신경정신학 분야로 연구가 한정되어 이루어지고 있으나, 국외연구에서는 자폐나 발달장애 분야에서도 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 연구대상별 분석결과에서는 국내연구의 경우 ADHD와 자폐 집단의 독립적 연구가 활성화되어 있으나, 국외연구에서는 ADHD와 자폐를 함께 연구하거나 뇌손상 및 읽기장애, 적대적반항장애와 같은 다른 장애를 함께 연구하였다. 또한 실행기능 영역에서는 국내외 연구 모두 충동-억제를 측정한 논문들이 많았다. 국내외 실행기능 영역별 측정도구의 특성과 적용은 국내외 연구 모두 스트룹과제, 위스콘신 카드분류과제, 연속수행검사를 보편적으로 사용하였으나, 연구자에 따라 선호하는 과제를 다르게 적용하였다. 결론적으로 국내 실행기능영역의 추후 연구들은 연구대상자의 확대와 실행기능 측정도구의 현 한계점을 보완할 수 있는 검사도구의 개발이 필요하다.
Abstract
This study analyzed studies about Executive Functions for ADHD and Autism, we also examined EF’s tasks’ trends and characters in the studies. We found 51 experimental studies concerning EF for ADHD and Autism; 24 studies published in Korea, 26 in other countries. We reviewed and summarized the studies by characters; Journal title, Author, Date, EF’s Task, Subject. Analysis showed Korea’s EF studies largely focused on Neuropsychology and Neuropsychiatry and subjects were mostly ADHD groups and Autism groups. On the other hand, others countries’ EF studies focused on Autism and Developmental psychology and subjects were varied; ADHD, Autism, combined ADHD and Autism, ADHD and other disorders, Autism and other disorders. Also, most studies concerning EF’ subtypes contained impulse and inhibition parts and the EF’s Task often used Stroop Task, Wisconsin Card Sorting Test(WCST) or Continuous Performance Test(CPT). Therefore, we discussed the research inside and outside Korea and made suggestions for future studies. First, we suggested research about EF in special education and studies for varied subjects in order to make strategy for learning. Second, we suggested research about EF’s Task development for non-verbal children in order to make complementary measures.
