근대사학이 도입된 이래 근 100여 년 동안 단군신화와 단군조선에 대해 매우 많은 연구들이 진행되어 왔다. 그중에서 한국의 중세 시대 문헌으로부터 단군신화와 단군조선과 관련한 사료들을 취합하여 이에 대해 유형화한 작업도 있었다. 그렇지만 전근대 시기의 단군 관련 사료 전체를 대상으로 진행된 작업은 아직 이루어지지 않고 있다. 이하에서는 『삼국유사』 와 『제왕운기』 등의 초기 자료들을 시작으로 하여 이후의 단군전승에 관한 거의 모든 자료들을 취합하여 이에 대한 유형별 분류를 시도하고자 한다. 단군을 언급한 고려 ~ 한말까지의 단군 관련 문헌 총 277권을 전수 조사하여 단군 관련 기술들을 추출하였다. 이렇게 1차로 추출된 단군전승 중에서 유의미한 이야기들을 취합하여 보니, 총 61권의 문헌에서 찾아볼 수 있었고, 대략 일곱 가지 유형으로 분류가능하였다. 환웅하강설, 단군하강설, 단군의 가계, 단군의 후계에 관한 전승, 참성단과 삼랑성 전승, 기존의 환웅과 웅녀의 결합으로 탄생한 단군전승에서 이탈한 단군탄생 전승, 그리고 단군조선을 선가(仙家) 혹은 선도(仙道)의 입장에서 도입된 전승으로 분류할 수 있었다. 그런데 이들을 수록한 전근대시기 저술가들은 어느 한 유형만을 독립적으로 기술한 것이 아닐 뿐만 아니라, 여러 유형의 전승들을 적절하게 섞어서 기술해 놓았다. 그렇기 때문에 각 유형별로 독립적으로 논의하는 것은 사실상 불가능하였다. 우선 환웅하강설과 단군하강설은 성립 시기가 고려 후기, 조선 초기라는 시대적 명확성이 뚜렷하고, 서로 다른 이야기를 하고 있다는 점에서 하나의 독립된 범주로 설정하여 논의할 수 있을 것이다. 그리고 선도(仙道) 입장에서 도입된 전승은 다른 유형들과 달리 매우 독특한 이야기들을 하고 있기 때문에 또 하나의 범주로 볼 수 있다. 기타 나머지 전승 유형은 이 세 가지 전승을 논의하는 가운데에 부차적으로 언급할 수 있었다. 환웅하강설은 고려 승려 일연이 찬술한 『삼국유사』에서 시작되었고, 단군하강설은 조선시대에 성리학에 기반한 문헌들에서 두드려졌다. 마지막으로 선도 입장에서 도입된 단군전승은 조선 중기 이후 극대화된 성리학적 일변도에서 탈피하는 움직임을 보였던 선가 혹은 도가 계열 지식인들의 입장에서 도입된 새로운 유형의 단군전승이다.
Abstract
In the Japanese colonial era, Japanese scholars denied the victory of Dangun and distorted the history of Gojoseon. They did not try to accept the Dangun Victory written in the pre-modern history book as a historical fact, saying that it was created by Il-yeon during the Goryeo Dynasty. One of the main reasons they provide is that the 『Samguk Yusa』, which first mentioned the Dangun Buddhist monk, was fabricated by Buddhist monks, and that intellectuals in the Joseon Dynasty distrusted it. In fact, this paper collected and analyzed Dangun-related records from all literatures in the pre-modern period to confirm whether the Dangun view of pre-modern intellectuals is very negative, as Japanese scholars claim. A total of 277 documents mentioned Dangun among the documents of the pre-modern period that have been confirmed up to the support fund. Among them, a specific description of Dangun could be found in a total of 61 documents. By examining the process of change in Dangun's transmission again in the chronological order of publication of the literature, extracting new pixels and classifying them by type, a total of 34 types of Dangun transmission were identified. Then, by weaving similar types of new pixels for the 34 Dangun transmission, comprehensively examining the inheritance and influence relationship between the types, the Dangun transmission can be broadly classified into three types: Hwanwoong descent theory, Dangun descent theory, and a completely new type. The first type of Dan-gun is a single-gunjeon Seung-eun, which is derived from the meat type based on meat type of meat type of meat and this.
