근로자가 사업장에서 겪는 소진은 근로자의 복리에 뿐만 아니라, 근로자의 가족과 사업장과 사회에도 부정적으로 영향을 미친다. 이에 따라서 근로자가 경험하는 소진에 크게 주목할 필요가 있다. 타인을 돕는 직종(원조직)의 근로자는 소진을 더 자주 경험하는 경향이 있다. 이 중에서도 장애인복지관에서 일하는 근로자는 클라이언트와 관계를 맺는 과정에서 다양한 형태의 어려움을 경험할 가능성이 큰 탓에, 소진을 겪을 위험성이 상대적으로 더 큰 집단에 속한다. 그리고 근로자가 경험하는 소진에는 여러 가지의 생태체계 요인이 영향을 미치는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이에 따라서 본 연구에서는 개인 수준의 요인(자아존중감), 가족 수준의 요인(가족지지), 조직 수준의 요인(직무스트레스와 사업장의 사회적 지지)이 장애인복지관 근로자의 소진에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지를 조사하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 자아존중감, 직무스트레스, 나이는 장애인복지관 근로자의 소진에 유의미하게 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다.
Abstract
Burnout experienced by employees affects not only their well-being but also their families, workplaces, and society in a negative manner. Hence due attention needs to be paid to their burnout. Generally employees in the helping profession tend to experience burnout more frequently. Among them, those working at the welfare centers for disabled persons are expected to undergo various forms of difficulties in the process of connecting with their clients. Therefore they are more highly likely to experience burnout. And a variety of ecosystem factors are known to influence burnout of employees. Hence this study attempted to delve into the effect of an individual-level factor (self-esteem), a family-level factor (family support), and organizational-level factors (job stress and social support in the workplace) on burnout of employees working at welfare centers for the disabled. The results of this study showed that self-esteem, job stress, and age had significant influence on their burnout.
