The social concern in Uigwe rises widely and research of Uigwe also become active recently. In this situation, one must ready the straight approach to Uigwe. Now translations and annotations of Uigwe materials are lively in progress, but they make such errors that are found in existing dictionaries. One must take this circumstances into consideration and appropriate measures. The matter must be settled without delay. This study aims to contribute toward solution of such problem, by finding upright method of explanation. It will apply following ways: (1) use of iphogi(異表記) (2) seeking corresponding words in the Korean literatures, (3) use of yongjaryeoi(用字例), (4) analogical interpretation from modern languages, (5) consideration of the context, (6) contrast with Hangeul Uigwe, (7) research on special qualities of borrowed characters.
