略語の様相 -国語辞典を中心に-

본 연구에서는『新明解国語辞典』에서「略」,「省略表現」으로 정의되어있는 용례를 모두 약어로 보고 일반적으로 정의되고 있는 약어의 양상에 관해고찰해보려 한다. 또한 약어는 「생략단위가 어인 경우」, 「생략단위가 어 이상인 경우」로분류하였으며 「생략단위가 어인 경우」의 약어들은 생략되기 전의 원어를 기준으로 어종과 생략부분에 따라 분류하였다. 「생략단위가 어 이상인 경우」의 약어 용례들은 생략전의 원어의 어종과 생략 부분을 단순히 분류하기 어렵기 때문에 「생략단위가 어인 경우」의 약어만 어종과 생략부분에 따라 분류하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the mode of shortened words by examiningthe examples of both abbreviations and elliptical expressions, following thedefinitions by the Shin meikai kokugo jiten, literally, The New Clear-UnderstandingJapanese Dictionary, as the cases of shortened words. The shortened words have beencategorized into two categories: (1) the cases in which the omitted unit is a wordor (2) the cases in which the omitted unit is more than a word. In addition, forthe cases in which the omitted unit is a word, they have been categorized againby word type and omitted part, based on the original expressions. For the cases inwhich the omitted unit is more than a word, since it was difficult to apply the simplecategorization of word type and omitted part to the original expressions, thecategorization was applied only to the cases in which the omitted unit is a word.
