『隣語大方』朝鮮刊本頭註の片仮名表記について

Abstract

There are notes about kanji readings and Chinese proverbs in the upper margin of "Ineodebang" Korean version, and their number is 112 in total. In this report, I supplemented items which were missing in reprint in "Ineodebang" (edited by Society for the Study of Japanese Language and Literature, University of Kyoto, 1963), and considered the note from an aspect of the katakana notation mainly. As a result, I found something like the following: (1) I found many errors of kanji characters and the reading of phrases. (2) On the other hand, about the readings of Chinese proverbs, if the word order are changed like Japanese, readings correspond with kanji writings, and if not, readings don't correspond with kanji writings but are shown to be readable as Japanese. (3) The shape of katakana "コ/ko/" is like "マ/ma/", and "ネ/ne/" "マ/ma/" "ミ /mi/" shows early type of characters, and "サ/sa/" "ル/ru/" shows odd shape. (4) In medial and final of word, /wa//i//u//e//o/ are written with katakana "ワ" "イ" "ウ" "ヘ" "ヲ" each. (5) On notations of long vowels, 16 of 17 cases in /CoH/ type-syllables are written in "オウ" types. /CyuH/ type-syllables are written in "イウ" types, and /CyoH/ type-syllables are in both "ヤウ" and "ヨウ" types. (6) Besides katakana, I found repeating signs and logotype "ヿ(koto)". the repeating signs have two types, one point-shaped and two point-shaped. and I found examples without repeating signs too. (7) I found 27 examples of right-sidelined letters to make pay attention to irregular writing. But they are limited to syllabic nasals, palatalized short syllables, and palatalized long syllables. And an example of geminated consonants does not appear. How we explain that errors of writing or reading and consideration for users are coexisting in the notes? I think that it is because this notes are made to gether various memorandums written by interpreters without consideration of their contents.
