Abstract

This paper presents a case study on Japanese IT convergence education for undergraduate students based on a corpus using Python in the Department of Japanese Language. This study focuses on educational induction measures that enable undergraduate students to effectively utilize the Python language in Japanese classes by utilizing a specific corpus of Python IT convergence subjects provided by the department. The Department of Japanese Language conducts convergence education to maximize students’ Japanese language education performance by combining IT convergence subjects with Japanese language education, and as part of this, it independently operates Python subjects. In this study, we provide an empirical example of how undergraduate students can improve their Python language skills by using corpora through this Python course. In this study, we focus on the use of specific corpora for Japanese undergraduate students and introduce a teaching method that allows students to effectively utilize corpora in Japanese language learning, rather than focusing on general engineering problem solving or data analysis.
