일본어학부에서 일본어비주얼프로그래밍과 JAVA언어 교육을 통한 IT융합교육 사례와 효과에 관한 연구

Abstract

This paper describes the case of a Japanese language department operating its own IT convergence course named Visual Programming in Japanese for about 10 years and its results. In Visual Programming in Japanese, students are taught an intermediate level of JAVA language. This study shows that based on the JAVA language education, IT convergence education for undergraduate students improves the students’ chances of landing a job, with IT convergence education strengthening university-industry collaboration and consequently enhancing the competitiveness of the undergraduate program. This paper examines how the curriculum changed in order to offer better IT convergence training and how important the Java language and its education. The JAVA language is an essential computer language to enter the Japanese IT industry, and it is a language used in the web and mobile sectors. Therefore, the Japanese Visual Programming course using the JAVA language has helped undergraduate students to start a professional career, and has continued to have a great influence on the overseas employment rate of the college graduates of the major. Also stated in the study is that how IT convergence education in the undergraduate course can be a meaningful experience for the students living the age of the 4th industrial revolution. It is hoped that this study will serve as a reference material for IT convergence education that can help brace for a sharp decline in school age population and drastic change in the educational environment in the era of the 4th industrial revolution.
