나는 이 글에서 일견 인공지능 혐오론의 방어자처럼 보일 수 있는 칸트의 철학이 오히려 인공지능 화해론의 근거가 될 수 있다고 주장한다. 이를 위해 혐오의 전이 과정을 생물학적 혐오, 인지적 혐오, 도덕적 혐오 세 단계로 구분하여 살펴보았고, 이 세 단계의 공통분모는 경계 짓기라는 사실을 추론한다. 그리고 마지막 세 번째 단계에서는 경계 짓기라는 중립적인 개념이 차별이라는 부정적인 개념으로 도약한다고 주장한다. 그리고 경계 짓기와 차별의 이면에는 싫어하는 자기 모습에 대한 부정이 있다는 사실을 너스바움의 이야기를 통해 설명하면서 혐오에는 자기투사의 속성이 수반됨을 밝힌다. 이러한 배경에서 인공지능 혐오를 조망해 보면, 그것의 본질은 인간이 이식한 계산기계로서의 이성 기능에 대한 배척과 폄하라는 사실이 도출된다고 주장한다. 마지막으로 감성계와 지성계의 동근원성과 정언명령의 이중적 속성에 대해 설명하는 칸트의 이론에서 오히려 인공지능 혐오에 대한 화해의 실마리를 발견할 수 있다고 주장한다.
Abstract
In this article, I argue that Kant's philosophy, which at first glance may seem like a defender of disgust at the AI, can rather be the basis for AI reconciliation theory. To this end, I divide the transfer process of disgust into three stages: biological disgust, cognitive disgust, and moral disgust, and it is inferred that the common denominator of these three stages is the bordering. And in the final stage, i.e. moral disgust stage it is argued that the neutral concept of bordering jumps into the negative concept of discrimination. And, explaining the fact that there is a denial of the self disliked behind the boundaries and discrimination, through Nussbaum's theory, he reveals that hate entails the attribute of self-projection. Looking at the hate of artificial intelligence against this background, it is argued that the essence of it is derived from the fact that it is the exclusion and denigration of the rational function as a human-implanted computer system. Finally, it is argued that a clue to reconciliation against artificial intelligence hatred can be found in Kant's theory, which explains the dual nature of the motive power of the emotional world and the intellectual world and the categorical imperative.
