초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the neoclassical tendency and to consider the characteristics and development process of neoclassical ballet in Balanchine and Stravinsky by analyzing the three ballets based on Greek mythology. The characteristics of neoclassical ballet are the modern interpretation of the tradition of classical ballet and inspiration from Stravinsky and the close relationship between music and dance. 『Apollo』 is the beginning of neoclassical ballet, 『Orpheus』 is a challenge to existing ballet genres, and 『Agon』 is a completed work that can see all the features of neoclassical ballet and it was able to grasp the development process of neoclassical ballet.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the neoclassical tendency and to consider the characteristics and development process of neoclassical ballet in Balanchine and Stravinsky by analyzing the three ballets based on Greek mythology.
