본 연구는 크리스탈 파이트의 「The Tempest Replica」 를 에코페미니즘적 관점으로 분석하여 자연과 여성 신체 간의 상호관계를 무용을 통해 시각화하는 방식을탐구한다. 에코페미니즘은 자연과 여성이 시대적 맥락으로 인해 동일한 지배 체계를지닌 것으로 해석된다. 작품 내 신체를 활용한 표현 요소들을 시청각 자료를 중심의창작자 인터뷰, 비평 자료 등 질적 분석으로 고찰하였다. 그 결과 사회적, 역사적 영향으로 인해 통제ㆍ억압받았던 자연과 여성의 이미지를 신체 표현을 활용해 예술적으로 재구성되는 것으로 해석된다. 본 연구는 무용 예술을 통해 생태적 감수성과 젠더적 문제를 에코페미니즘적 관점으로 감각적 표현을 통해 신체로 재구성되는 부분을 조명함으로 예술을 통한 생태ㆍ 젠더적 감수성의 회복 가망성을 제시하도록 한다.
Abstract
This study analyzes Crystal Pite's 「The Tempest Replica」 from an ecofeminist perspective and explores the way in which the interrelation- ship between nature and the female body is visualized through dance. Ecofeminism interprets nature and women as having the same domi- nance system due to the context of the times. The expressive elements utilizing the body in the work were examined through qualitative analy- sis of audiovisual materials, interviews with the creator, and critical materials. As a result, it is interpreted that the images of nature and women, which were controlled and oppressed due to social and historical influences, are artistically reconstructed through physical expression. This study aims to suggest the possibility of recovering ecological and gender sensitivity through art by illuminating the parts where ecological sensitivity and gender issues are reconstructed physically through sen- sory expression from an ecofeminist perspective through dance art.
