사범대학-현장학교 협력관계에 기반한 교육실습 사례 분석: 중등교원을 위한 교육실습 확대 방안 가능성 탐색

초록

본 연구는 교육부의 교원양성체제 개편 방안에 기초한 사범대학 교육과정 개발의 일환으로서 교육실습 내실화 방안을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 구체적으로 교육실습 내실화 방안의 일환으로 진행되고 있는 교육실습의 횟수와 기간 확대 노력을 시행함에 있어 전제조건으로 제시되는 현장학교와 협력을 통한 교육실습 사례의 형성과정과 시행, 그리고 본 연구의 교육실습 프로그램에 참여한 예비교사들과의 평가회 자료와 협력학교의 연구학교 운영 결과 분석을 통해 본 연구의 협력적 교육실습 프로그램 운영결과를 진단하고 이에 기초하여 교육실습 내실화 방안에 대한 시사점을 논의하였다. 구체적으로, 본 교육실습 프로그램은 예비교사들이 협력적 맥락에서의 실습 경험을 통해 교사의 전문성에 대한 관점을 재정립하고, 이론적 지식을 현장수업경험의 맥락에서 반성하는 과정을 통해 실제적 지식으로 재구성하는데 긍정적으로 기여한 것으로 나타났다. 뿐만 아니라, 학교에 대한 이해가 확장되면서 학교교육의 변화를 위한 교사의 역할에 대한 모델을 구성하였다. 이와 더불어, 예비교사들은 프로그램의 학습 효과를 높이기 위해 사범대학과 학교현장의 협력 관계가 보다 원활히 이루어질 수 있는 방안에 대한 탐색이 필요하다는 제언을 하였다. 이러한 교육실습 확대 방안으로 현장학교의 연구학교와 결합된 형태의 교육실습 사례 운영을 통해 본 연구는 사범대학 교육과정 구성 방안, 교육실습 내실화에 대해 실습의 양적 증대와 더불어 실습의 질적 관리를 위한 방안의 탐색, 협력적 실습지도를 위해 다양한 참여구성원의 동등한 참여와 상호작용의 중요성, 끝으로 교육실습의 필수적 확대에 대한 재고의 필요성에 대해 논의하였다.

Abstract

This research designed a program of practicum based on the collaboration between school and university to provide student teachers an effective environment for learning to teach. The program provided eight-week practicum in school for student teachers with emphasis on reflective practice and collaborative mentoring. For the program evaluation, we interviewed 8 student teachers who had participated in the practicum program. In the interview, the student teachers were asked to describe their motivation for the participation and their experience of learning to teach in this program. This paper reports the process of collaborative practicum program development and the effect of the program on student teachers' learning and the improvement of school. This paper also discusses implications for professional development programs. First of all, the curriculum for teacher education need to be reorganized to integrate theory and practice. Second, it is necessary to consider how to manage the quality of student teaching when the number of credits for practicum courses increases. In particular, it is essential in collaboration that every participant equally participates and presents one's own expertise. Finally, any collaborative programs have to reflect the demands of program participants and be beneficial to all the participants.
