Abstract

Accroding to sustainable development law enacted in 2007, this study suggests the improvement in terms of role, operation and assessment methods of sustainability assessment system operated by city ordinance. The study finds that both assessors and who were given assessment agree on the necessity of remodification of role, operation and assessment methods of current sustainability assessment system. On the other hand, assessors recognize the limitation of assessment as a reason of the role problem and suggest the active participation and the remodification of operation method of sustainability assessment system. Also who were given assessment recognize the redundancy of other deliberations as a reason of the role problem and suggest the unified operation system of case selection committee meeting and assessment committee meeting. Consequently, there was a difference between assessors and who were given assessment in terms of problem recognition and remodification suggestion. Firstly the sustainability assessment system need to be remodified in the aspects of increasing effectiveness of the assessment. Secondly the unified operation system need to be applied to sustainability assessment system in order to decrease the redundancy of assessment in near future.
